Italy and England: comparative climatology

"It's easy to understand why the most beautiful poems about England in the spring were written by poets living in Italy at the time."

How naughty (but true). From a rain-sodden London scene in the great 1947 classic, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, with Gene Tierney (photo) and Rex Harrison.

Is it possible to be more beautiful than Gene Tierney? I doubt it.
