Italian vocabulary

Vocabulary teaching and learning is often neglected where foreign languages are concerned. This is especially true of Italian, where people are often much taken by the grammar. Simply memorizing long lists of words, especially if unrelated, isn't going to do it for you.

Here's a fairly effective way of learning or reviewing your Italian vocabulary, including its spelling and pronunciation. And it's free.

You must however have Google desktop, as I do. Go to this page and follow the simple instructions.

At this point you are all set to place these one-word-a-day gizmos on your new desktop, preferably in a strategic (top center) position. There are two of them, here and then here. If you are really ambitious, you can use both. They feature audio.
